The Time Dragon: the perfect fit for the ancient technique of émaillage

The Dague’s movement is re-born out of perseverance and dedication and this result was possible because passion has bordered with the unreasonable determination to use such a special beating heart….a century old manufacture-grade pocket watch movement downsized completely rebuilt and redecorated.
The case is made of Titanium: we love its dark metallic grey; it looks warmer than steel, it polishes nicely and it is simply stunning against the Dragon’s shine of gold and bright, deep colors

The Time Dragon

The Time Dragon (Ourobourous) theme is an ancient symbol representing the ever-renewing universal energy, the cyclical nature of things, which re-generates after reaching the end. It symbolizes infinity, eternity, and cyclical time, which is what analog watches are about

Circularity is both the meaning of the Time Dragon and the essence of the Dague as our movements, originally manufactured a century ago, are reborn to a new life as each of our watches is assembled in our workshop.

The “Time Dragon” emaillage was executed by M.me Vanessa Lecci, as a true artist chose the most complex among the designs we realized – the one with the most curved lines and details – simply because she judged it “beautiful”

She decided to use gold threads of different thicknesses, 0.06 mm and 0.08 mm, the thickest to emphasize elements as the head and the snout.

The green background is a century-old glaze which is now unobtainable, the Vert Paillons enamel, produced in the early 1900s by the Genevan Millenet, the red of the dragon body is also a rare and now no longer available Rouge Royal by Schauer.

This is a one-only timepiece, it represents the legacy of traditional craftsmanship in a way that transcends generations, where time is measured not just in minutes and seconds, but in the meticulous dedication and passion infused into this creation.
